Wound Bed Preparation, Exudate Management, Multi-layered Compression and Skin Tears in the Community Setting.

Join Surgical House and HARTMANN for an interactive educational session designed for community nurses and clinicians. This evidence-based workshop will explore the key principles of wound balance, wound bed preparation, effective exudate management, multi-layered compression therapy and best practice skin tear prevention and treatment. Participants will gain practical insights and clinical strategies to support wound balance across community care settings.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles of wound bed preparation and their role in promoting optimal wound healing.
• Recognise different levels and types of wound exudate and select appropriate management strategies to support wound balance.
• Apply evidence-based approaches to the assessment, prevention, and treatment of skin tears in community care settings.
• Demonstrate application and ongoing management of multilayer compression systems in community settings.
• Identify appropriate dressing selection based on wound characteristics, patient needs, and clinical goals.
• Implement practical interventions that support patient quality of life.

It’s been six months since our last update from National Disability Services (NDS) – and a lot has happened.

Join us for our next Coffee Connect as we welcome back Laura Little, State Manager WA at National Disability Services (NDS), for an update on the latest changes across the NDIS and what they mean for the sector. Laura will provide a practical overview of the recent NDIS reforms, with a focus on how the changes are impacting providers and the key actions organisations should be considering as they navigate the evolving environment.
