KALTOSTAT WOUND DRESSING 7.5X12CM (10)

Kalostat is a calcium sodium alginate dressing with a high guluronic acid content. It is therefore highly absorbent and maintains its integrity when in situ on a wound. Kalostat is also a clinically proven haemostat, providing a matrix to support blood clot formation and thus aiding in the cessation of minor bleeding

Features:

  • Highly absorbent; gives longer wear time
  • Provides a moist wound environment; giving optimal healing conditions
  • Forms a firm moist gel; allowing easy, atraumatic removal
  • Haemostatic properties; stops minor bleeding


It is indicated as a primary dressing for moderately to highly exuding wounds and for wounds with minor bleeding due to its haemostatic properties.
