Mepilex® Border Heel

 

Mepilex® Border Heel is the only five layer foam binder with a unique Deep Defense Technology. It has been shown to prevent pressure ulcers along with standard prevention protocols.

For the wound, the creative bonding of the ideal healing environment is intended to be used in moderate or high secreting heel wounds. The dressing effectively absorbs and binds the wound and maintains a suitable moisture balance, reducing the risk of maceration.

The improved dressing includes new treatment plugs and thicker edges, making it easier to set and check the skin. The design has also been developed in such a way that the dressing better covers the areas at risk for the heel and the spindle bones.

The renewed dressing still includes the original silicone coated Safetac® contact surface. It gently adheres to the skin but does not adhere to the damp wound so it can be easily removed without damaging the skin. This results in less pain for the patient.
