Leukostrip is a wound closure strip that keeps wound edges together securely. It is ideal for cuts and surgical incisions.
  • Programmed flexibility – so it can expand and contract with wound oedema, thus ensuring that wound edges are constantly held together.
  • Permeable to wound exudates – minimises maceration.
  • Alternative to stitching
  • Helps reduce scaring
  • Made from polyamide material with hypoallergenic polyacrylate adhesive.
  • Works by holding together the edges of the skin whilst the wound heals.
  • The polyamide strips expands and contracts with wound oedema, thereby maintaining optimal wound edge apposition,
  • The small apertures in the strip allow for exudates to pass through the strip, thereby preventing local pooling and maceration.
    • Recommended for:
  • Closure of wounds that heal by primary intention
  • Atraumatic wound closure in major and minor surgery,
  • Use as an adjunct to sutures or skin stapling of a wound
  • Skin tears.
